Valerie is a well known international media celebrity and is considered one of North America’s top experts on contemporary love, sex, relationships and dating. She was host of the live call-in advice show Dear Valerie and the award-winning relationships and advice columnist for 12 years for the Toronto Sun newspaper.
She is a vocal and visible advocate of aging as a wonderful adventure and of enjoying sexuality no matter what your age. She launched the cougar trend in 2001 and is the author of Cougar: A Guide for Older Women Dating Younger Men.
A single Boomer she is currently working on a new book to help those dating in mid and late life.
